The Fitbit app delivers a personalized experience to give you a deeper understanding of your stats and progress while providing insights to help you reach your goals. Customize the app to getthe stats that matter most to you.

Note: Older versions of the Fitbit app (from 3.00 to 3.90 and from 4.00 to 4.21) may experience issues after September 30, 2024. You’ll need to update to the latest version (4.22 or higher). In order to update to newer versions of the app, use a compatible iPhone or Android device.

How do I find fitbit.com dashboard features in the Fitbit app?

The Fitbit app contains all the information you’re familiar with from fitbit.com, and more. The Fitbit app features 3 tabs: Today, Coach, and You.

  • The Today tab How do I use the Fitbit app? (2) is where you’ll find all your daily stats, similar to the fitbit.com dashboard. Just like the dashboard, you can rearrange the tiles and choose what’s most important to you. For more information, refer to How do I add or remove tiles on the Today tab?
  • The Coach tab How do I use the Fitbit app? (3) is exclusive to the Fitbit app. It provides workout videos and mindfulness sessions to keep you motivated and inspired.
  • The You tab How do I use the Fitbit app? (4) includes information you’re familiar with from fitbit.com profile page. Here, you’ll get your membership details, navigate to the Fitbit community, browse available health assessments, adjust your goals, and find your badges.

At the top of all the tabs, there are 3 icons:

What's new to the fitbit.com dashboard?

The fitbit.com dashboard is available in the Fitbit app which you can download on theGoogle Play Store and Apple App Store. The browser will no longer offer access to the fitbit.com dashboard after July 2024, but all your details and details for activities, nutrition, sleep, and weight continue to be available in the Fitbit app. You can also export your GPS data, community data, or an archive of your active account data. Note: Even with this change, no historical data will be deleted. All your data will be kept under your account.

To add or hide stat tiles:

  2. To add a stat tile, swipe down and find the stat you want to add How do I use the Fitbit app? (14) tap Add. To hide a stat tile, tap the X icon on the stat you want to remove.
  3. Tap Done.

How do I download the Fitbit app on my phone?

Download and install the Fitbit app from one of the following locations:

To make sure you can use the Fitbit app on your phone or tablet, checkFitbit-compatible devices.

Note: Customers in China can download the Fitbit app on Android phones from the Huawei and Xiaomi app stores. If you use the Fitbit app for China, you won’t receive Fitbit app updates.

How do I update the Fitbit app?

Update the Fitbit app the same way you update other apps on your phone. Note that your device may automatically update your apps depending on your settings.

iPhones

  1. Open the App Store app.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Scroll down to checkif an update is available for the Fitbit app (under Available updates or Upcoming automatic updates).
  4. Tap Update.

If your apps update automatically, check Updated recently to know if the Fitbit app was updated recently.

Android phones

  1. Open the Play Store app.
  2. Tap the menu icon.
  3. Tap My apps & games. If the Fitbit app has an update, it will be shown in the Updates list.
  4. Tap Update.

If your apps update automatically, check the Recently updated or Up to date list to check if the Fitbit app was updated.
